Cub Scouts Activities for Bears

Developmental Activities

Activities for Bears are interactive, adventurous, and slightly more challenging than Wolves. They include games, crafts, hikes, camping experiences, and skill-building exercises such as first aid, basic map and compass use, simple cooking, and introductory nature studies. These activities help Bears think critically, solve problems, and gain confidence through real-world experiences.

Family Engagement

While Bears are encouraged to take on more responsibility and independence, family support remains important. Parents and guardians participate as needed, helping their child explore new skills while fostering confidence and security.

Character & Leadership

Bears continue to strengthen their understanding of core values such as respect, honesty, kindness, and responsibility. They practice leadership, decision-making, and teamwork while applying the Scout Law and Scout Oath in meaningful ways that guide behavior and character development.

Achievements Plus Badges

Bears earn badges and patches for completing activities, adventures, and skill challenges. These achievements recognize effort and mastery, motivating Bears to explore new experiences and take pride in their accomplishments.
