A Day of Adventure at Newman’s Castle

Troop 1985 recently traded their usual meeting space for an unforgettable day of adventure at Newman’s Castle in Texas where the scouts explored a real medieval-style castle right in the heart of the Texas countryside. The visit to Newman’s Castle was more than just a fun field trip. It was a chance for Troop 1985 to experience something completely different.

Newman’s Castle is unlike any ordinary place. With its stone walls, towers, drawbridge, moat, and grand courtyard, the castle gave the Scouts a chance to step into a world that felt straight out of a storybook. The Scouts were eager to see what was around every corner and learn more about how the impressive castle was built.

Experiences like this are a big part of what makes Scouting special. They encourage young people to explore, discover new interests, and build friendships along the way. The day was filled with exploring and plenty of opportunities for the Scouts to let their imaginations run wild. They toured the castle, checked out its unique rooms and features, and climbed through different areas while taking in the incredible craftsmanship.

Of course, no scout adventure would be complete without spending time together, sharing laughs, and making memories. Parents and leaders also enjoyed watching the Scouts work together, stay curious, and make the most of their adventure.
