Every year, the Pinewood Derby is a highlight for our cub scouts and families in Pack 1985. And this year’s race did not disappoint! From imaginative designs to nail-biting finishes, the event showcased not just fast cars, but the hard work, learning, and excitement that went into building them.
More Than Just a car Race

Weeks before race day, each scout started with the same simple kit: a small block of wood, four wheels, and a set of axles. What they turned those materials into was nothing short of impressive. Some scouts worked side-by-side with parents or mentors, while others proudly took the lead on their designs. Either way, the process was as valuable as the final product. Through the building process, scouts learned:
